It is chilly winter here at the Cottage. An excellent time of year for quilting. All regular clients of Pinetree Cottage were sent out a postcard for a Winter Special Offer for All Over Quilting. Valid until August 31, 2010.

Pinetree Cottage has launched it's own blog where current projects will be featured along with some hints and tips to get the most out of your piecing and quilting experience. Feedback is welcome.

Quilt and Craft Expo - Michele was in the A1 booth at the Trade Only Quilt and Craft Expo showing the A1 Quilting Machine.

Things are in full swing here at the Cottage. I have some new All Over designs that are just gorgeous. The kids are all settled in at school and quilting is going full steam ahead.

The NSW Quilters Guild show is coming up soon. Some Pinetree Cottage Quilting clients have entered quilts. Unfortunately, I have no quilt of my own entered this year. I will be working on some show quilts to go to the Inaugural Australian Machine Quilters Festival in Adelaide in October. For more information, please go to www.amqfestival.com.au . I will be teaching a class in Wholecloth Design, suitable for all kinds of quilters - longarm, domestic machine and hand quilters.

We are working on the gardens out the front of the cottage and they are coming along nicely. We hope to have the planting done soon.

Pinetree Cottage is back open for business and I look forward to seeing both new clients and all of the lovely ladies I have quilted for before. A reminder - custom quilting bookings are filling quickly so please plan ahead for your special quilts and book early to avoid disappointment.

Master Quilter Award!!!

Michele is awarded the Master Quilter award at the Victorian Quilters Showcase, Australian Machine QUilters Exhibition. What a thrill!!!

Also Michele recieved First Place for Custom Quilting at this show.

Both awards were for the wholecloth quilt "Deluxe".

Michele wins Second Place in Traditional Custom at Machine Quilters Showcase in Kansas City, USA. The quilt is "A Sweetie for my Sweetie".

I have just  returned from a 3 week trip to the USA, where I have attended two Machine Quilting conferences. I won a Judges Ribbon at MQX www.mqxshow.com . I had a great time and have learned lots of new quilting things which I can't wait to put to use. I also bought a whole lot of new threads, which are all gorgeous, and will be ready to use on your next quilt.

The US Dollar exchange rate is at a favorable level at the moment, so it is a perfect time to consider upgrading to or purchasing your first A-1 Longarm Quilting Machine. Please call for details.

January 2007

Happy New Year!

From January 8, 2007, Pinetree Cottage Quilting has a new policy for All Over Quilting. All quilts for All Over Quilting ONLY will be taken on a first come first quilted basis. The new policy for All Over Quilting will not affect any Custom Quilting bookings. If you have your quilt booked in for Custom Quilting, it will be completed in the month for which it is booked.  If you need advise to decide which type of quilting to choose, please call Michele who will be happy to help you.

All Over Quilting - quilt will be quilted in order of it being received by Pinetree Cottage. Please call 4729 2676 to arrange a drop off time.

Creative, Custom and Heirloom Quilting - call Michele to book in as usual.
