All Over Quilting

A continuous line design is worked from one edge of the quilt to the other, and repeated from top to bottom of the quilt. 

Pinetree Cottage Quilting has almost 50 All Over Pantograph patterns to choose from, in a wide variety of textures and designs. There is sure to be one there to suit your quilt.  The best news of all is that from November 1, 2006, they are all now all one price, so you can have any one you want for only 3 cents per square inch.

Creative Quilting

Creative freehand quilting custom designed to enhance each quilt.

A - Large all over freehand meander, large stipple, simple flowers, leaves, loops, stars, swirls.

B - Medium all over freehand meander, stipple, simple flowers, leaves, loops, stars, swirls. Line Dancing designs.

C - Medium all over freehand with more detailed designs such as feathers, complex flowers, butterflies, garden branching, freehand block, sashing and border treatments.

Note: Creative Quilting does not include any stitch-in-the-ditch.

Baptist Fans

A classic treatment for period or reproduction style quilts. Looks good on many quilt styles. 9” fan at 1” spacing between arcs.

Custom Quilting

A more detailed version of quilting where block motifs may be used and are sized specifically for each quilt, stitch in the ditch, and more variety of detail included.

A - Stitch-in-the-ditch, simple block motifs, simple sashing motifs, meander where appropriate, custom borders, circles.

B - Stitch-in-the-ditch, block motifs, meander where appropriate, custom borders, any outline of appliqué, echoing around appliqué,  placement of sashing designs, circles.

C - Stitch-in-the-ditch, intricate block motifs, detailed background fills where appropriate, intricate custom borders, any outline of appliqué, echoing around appliqué, placement of continuous sashing designs. Circles closer than 1 inch.

Ultimate Custom Quilting

As per Category C custom quilting, also any cross hatching, Mc Tavishing, micro stitching (very small stippling) eg. around appliqué, very intricate freehand designs all to bring out the best in your piecing.                

Basting

Rows of long straight stitches across the quilt, 10 cm apart to secure the three layers together ready for you to hand or machine quilt.

Binding

A full binding service is available. You may choose to supply fabric and have your binding cut and made for you, pre-cut your binding, have it machine applied to the front of the quilt then hand finish it yourself. Pinetree Cottage also offers a hand finishing service for your binding - please allow extra time for your quilt bindings to be hand finished.
